The longest trail of the Ramsau trail network runs for a length of around 30 km is the “Dachstein Skating Sportstrail“. covers the high plateau with loops, steep forest passages and easy sliding parts. The trail connects and runs through almost all districts and is usually part of cross-country races such as the Tour de Ramsau. It is ideal for beginners as well as for advanced users and professionals.
The course of the trail impresses with its wonderful panoramic views of the Dachstein massif and the Schladminger Tauern. All professional athletes and leisurely cross-country skiers draw new energy, can simply switch off and enjoy the fresh Ramsau mountain air. Cross-country skiing is also the best winter endurance sport that trains strength, coordination and mobility.
The Hotel Matschner is just a few minutes’ walk away from the starting point and the cross-country trails at the World Cup cross-country ski stadium. You can use the individual sections to enjoy the beautiful winter landscape of Ramsau am Dachstein. Along the trail you will find cozy and traditional farmhouse parlors that invite you to stop off and linger.
